SCRIPTURE READING: MARK 10: 46-52

FOCUS: “And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.” (Mark 10: 46)

MEMORY VERSE: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1: 5)

According to our Focal Scripture, the person who was described as blind Bartimaeus, was the son of Timaeus. The name ‘Timaeus’ is interpreted to mean ‘honour’. So, put differently, he was called blind Bartimaeus, the son of ‘Honour’. Honour and blindness were together in the life of the same man. Honour and negativity were sitting side by side in the life of Bartimaeus. Good news was mixed with negativity.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: any area of your life where good news is mixed with negativity, I decree, let there be a separation. Let every negativity that is existing side by side with your identity, be uprooted by fire. Whatever affliction that has settled into your life, I command it to scatter by fire. Every sickness that has come to stay in your life, let it be scattered by fire. Every bad news mixed with your good news, let fire answer.

I pray for you: no negativity shall hang around your destiny. No negativity shall have a permanent seat in your destiny. No negativity will become a recurrent decimal in your destiny journey. No negativity will overshadow your identity. No negativity will become prolonged. No negativity is permitted to be entrenched in your destiny. No negativity will dwell at your destiny gates. No negativity will make a mess of your identity.

If Jesus has redeemed you, then your life is hid in Christ in God. If Jesus has redeemed you, then He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. If Jesus has redeemed you, then you are more than a conqueror. Jesus already took away your infirmities, and by His stripes, you were already healed. Your identity is from the word of the Lord; and if it is not in God’s word for you, reject it and root it out. Say no to negativity in your life.

Jesus rooted out the negativity that was tagging along with Bartimaeus, and made him to take his place in destiny. That negativity is over; arise and take your place.
