SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 13: 10-17
FOCUS: “And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.” (Luke 13: 11)
MEMORY VERSE: “Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.” (Isaiah 56: 5)
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the woman who had a spirit of infirmity. Her name was not mentioned, but her condition was mentioned. It seemed that her condition had become the new way to introduce her. It seemed that her condition had become her description. Her condition clearly became her identity. Her condition seemed to swallow her name and give her an identity that she was not born with.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not wear the identity of negativity. Your identity will not be swallowed in the midst of negativity. You will not wear a negative label. You will not be identified by whatever you are going through. You will not be a victim of negativity to the extent that it will overtake your true identity. You will not be counted amongst them that are caught in the web of negative struggles. You will not lose your identity.
Every plan of the enemy to give you an identity of negativity in 2025, I decree, it will not prevail. I command every negative identity you have already taken on, to be torn to shreds. I command every challenge that has become your identity to be reversed. Every issue that has swallowed your name, I command it to be swallowed by the fire of God. You will not wear the identity of affliction. You will not be called by the name of your challenge.
Jesus redeemed you so that no other identity will prevail over you. Jesus already paid the price so that you will not bear the name that affliction put on you. If indeed you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, then refute and refuse every identity that is not of God. Reject every name that heaven did not give you. Reject every name that is inconsistent with your identity in Christ. Reject every negative identity that wants to swallow you.
If it is not of God, then it is not your name. If it is not of God, then refuse it and be done with it.
