SCRIPTURE READING: MARK 10: 46-52
FOCUS: “And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.” (Mark 10: 46)
MEMORY VERSE: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” (1 John 5: 14)
In our Focal Scripture, mention is made about blind Bartimaeus, who later demanded for healing from Jesus. When Jesus would announce His destiny mandate, in Luke 4 vs. 18, He mentioned that He had a mandate for recovery of sight for the blind. So, when Bartimaeus was crying out for recovery of sight, He was simply demanding for what Jesus already said He would do. He demanded for what was written in the word, and he got it.
Friend, God already made room in His word for that expectation you have of Him. God already spoke about your miracle in His word. God already made room for that breakthrough you desire, in His word. God already made provision for your elevation in His word. God already made arrangements for your congratulations in His word. God already spoke a word concerning the expectations you have that are yet to be fulfilled.
Your miracle is in the word. Your expectations are in His word. Your new season is in His word. Your elevation is in His word. Your breakthrough is in His word. Your good news is in His word. Your healing is in the word. Your restoration is in the word. Your joy and laughter is in the word. Your back to back miracles are already captured in the word. How your story will end, is already prescribed by the word.
The same way Bartimaeus demanded for his sight as provided in the word, and received same, as you demand for what God already said in His word, it will become your reality. If God said it, then He will make it happen for you. If God said it, He is willing to make it happen if you dare to ask. Everything that is written in God’s word is yours to ask for. Everything that is written is already guaranteed for you ahead of time.
This is that season when you must intentionally make demands from God based on what He said in His word. If He said it, ask for it and He will make it happen.
