SCRIPTURE READING: 1 SAMUEL 30: 1-20

FOCUS: “And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” (1 Samuel 30: 8)

MEMORY VERSE: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” (Joel 2: 25)

In our Focal Scripture, God told David that he would recover all. David and his men had their wives and children taken away by the Amalekites. They had their city burnt. They had lost what was important to them; but God decreed that David would recover all. What seemed lost in the eyes of men was about to be recovered. What the enemy had taken away was going to be restored. What the enemy had taken away was to be recovered.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you have entered your season of recovery. Whatever you lost in time past is about to be restored. What the enemy took away from you is about to be restored. Your portion will be restored; your results will be restored; your family will be restored; your children will be restored; your fortunes will be restored; your financial gates will be restored; your relevance will be restored; your favour will be restored.

God did not promise that David will recover some. He promised that David would recover all. It was going to be a case of full restoration. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your restoration shall be in full, nothing missing and nothing broken. Every bit of what you lost will be restored. God will watch over His promise to you and ensure that you get back whatever the enemy took away from you. You will get back your portion in full.

David did not only get back his wives and children; he also took spoils from the Amalekites. He recovered more than what he lost. His restoration came with compensation. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you shall have restoration with compensation. Wherever you suffered losses in time past, God is causing you to recover much more than you ever lost. God is causing you to gain more than the enemy took away from you.

Your recovery will be complete. What you lost will be restored in full. There shall be restoration with compensation.
