SCRIPTURE READING: JUDGES 16: 1-31
FOCUS: “And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.” (Judges 16: 4)
MEMORY VERSE: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4: 18)
Prior to our Focal Scripture, Samson was seen taking the gate of the city with its pillars, and carrying them on his shoulders to the hill. Samson did exploits on the hill. The next thing that was heard about Samson was that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, named Delilah. Samson went from exploits on the hill, to destruction in the valley. He moved from high places of exploit and recognition, to a place on the valley.
Friend, I pray for you: may you not move from the mountain to the valley. May you not move from exploits to destruction. May you not move from the place of significance to the place of oblivion. May you not move from distinction to extinction. May you not move from relevance to insignificance. May you not be brought down from the heights that heaven already placed you on. May you not lose your visibility and heights.
Samson thought he had met just another woman, but this was the woman that was to make him become a shadow of himself. This was the woman that sold him to his enemies. This was the woman that made him lose his place. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every satanic arrow fired against you in order to reduce you, I decree, it will not prevail. Every messenger from hell sent to reduce you to nothing, I decree, you will not fall in their trap.
God’s will is for your path to shine brighter and brighter. God’s will is for you to rise higher and higher. The plan of God for you is that you will not rise and fall. Jesus did not redeem you so that you will move from hill to valley. If there be any journey of reduction you have already embarked on, I terminate it by fire. I terminate every plan to reduce you. I terminate every trap that came to reduce you. I separate you from every Delilah.
May it never be said that you moved from exploits to oblivion. May it never be said that you moved from relevance to irrelevance. May it never be said that you moved from the hill to the valley.
