SCRIPTURE READING: MARK 10: 46-52

FOCUS: “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” (Mark 10: 47)

MEMORY VERSE: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrew 4: 16)

When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by, he cried out and asked Jesus to have mercy on him. Bartimaeus keyed into the ministry of Jesus by asking for mercy. Mercy was the key that Bartimaeus used to get Jesus’ attention. Mercy was the passcode that unlocked the doors of his healing. Mercy was the key that opened his new season of vision restored. Mercy was the key that opened the door of the new and shut the door of the old.

Friend, mercy is the passcode that will unlock the doors of the new. Mercy is the passcode that will unlock your healing and deliverance. Mercy is the key that will open the doors of your new season. Mercy is the key that will remove the negativities that you are battling with. Mercy is that voice that has capacity to prevail over judgement. Mercy is that voice that speaks for you to have it even when you clearly do not deserve it.

Bartimaeus cried out and asked Jesus to show him mercy, and he eventually received his sight. Mercy delivered his miracle. I pray for you: may mercy deliver to you miracles that your works cannot deliver. May the mercies of God grant you results that medical science cannot deliver. May the mercies of God give you access that your efforts cannot give you. May the mercies of God carry you into your new level of relevance and influence.

The death and resurrection of Jesus opened the doors of mercy from God to man. Jesus already paid with His blood, so that you can receive His mercies. Because Jesus is risen, come boldly and ask Him for mercy. Ask the Lord for mercy concerning those negative medical reports. Ask God for mercy concerning those battles that are beyond you. Ask the Lord for mercy concerning the areas where your strength is too small to deliver.

When everything else fails, mercy will not fail. When efforts fail, switch to mercy, and you will create the atmosphere for divine intervention.
