SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 18: 35-43
FOCUS: “And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:” (Luke 18: 35)
MEMORY VERSE: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40: 31)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how there was a certain blind man who sat by the wayside begging. The wayside is a place of movement. The wayside is a pathway where people are on the move. In a place where others were moving, this certain blind man was sitting. In a place of movement, he was stagnated. In a place of movement, he was not moving. In a place where others moved, the blind man sat and begged.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: it will never be said that you sat and begged. It will never be said that you did not make progress as you should. It will never be said that you came to a place where everyone was moving and you were not moving. It will never be said that you came to the place of movement and ended up stagnated. It will never be said that you came to the place of movement and failed to make the much-needed progress.
Because the blind man could not see, he ended up sitting and begging. He became a mere spectacle in the pathway of other people’s movement. Hear me as I hear the Lord: it will never be said that you became a spectacle in the place of other people’s movement. It will never be said that you arrived at other people’s place of movement, and never moved. It will never be said that you did not transit from where you are to your next level.
When El Roi is involved, stagnation is outlawed. When El Roi is involved, you cannot sit in the same spot in destiny year after year. When El Roi is involved, you cannot stay at the same place as others make progress. When El Roi is involved, you must arise and move, and every situation that mitigates your movement will be cut short by the power of God. When El Roi is involved, stagnation must make way for movement.
El Roi has made your feet like hind’s feet, and He has set you upon your high places. The days of stagnation are over. The days of movement have begun.
