SCRIPTURE READING: 1 SAMUEL 17: 1-53
FOCUS: “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” (1 Samuel 17: 45)
MEMORY VERSE: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” (Psalm 118: 17)
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of a few weapons that Goliath showed up with. One of the weapons of Goliath was a sword. In bible times, swords were used to kill. Swords were meant to orchestrate death. So Goliath, whilst coming against David, came with a weapon that would be used to kill. Goliath came with a weapon of death. Goliath came with something that would ensure that life does not remain for his opponent.
Friend, I pray for you: every satanic sword that has been raised against you, I destroy it by fire. Every weapon of death that the enemy has raised against you, I decree that it will not prevail. The weapons of death fired against you will not prevail. That disaster that the enemy wants to use and swallow your life will not prevail. That arrangement of death that the enemy has made for you will not prevail. The sword of the enemy will not prevail.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever the enemy has raised in order to kill you or kill what belongs to you, I decree, it will not prevail. The sword of the enemy raised against your family will not prevail. The sword of the enemy raised against your health will not prevail. The sword of the enemy raised against your marriage will not prevail. The sword of the enemy raised against your increase will not prevail. No sword will prevail over you.
I decree, you will not die when your time has not yet come. You will not die another man’s death. You will not die by the hands of those who have plotted death against you. You will not die in any accident. You will not die prematurely. You will not die in this month or even this year. That sword that has been raised to bring you down, will not succeed. That conspiracy of death against you will not succeed. You will not bury or be buried.
I decree that the earth will not receive your body until you say so. Your blood will not be spilled; your bones will not be broken; you will not die; the sword of the enemy will not prevail against you.
