SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW 13: 24-30

FOCUS: “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13: 30)

MEMORY VERSE: “The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.” (Psalm 16: 5)

In our Focal Scripture, the householder ordered that the harvest of wheat be gathered into his barn. The harvest had arrived, but the householder instructed on where the harvest would be taken to. There was a harvest, and the harvest had an environment where it was to exist. There was harvest, but the householder defined the space that the harvest should occupy. The harvest was not meant for the street; it was for the barn.

Friend, as God grants you the harvest you so earnestly desire, always remember that your harvest has a place where it should be. Your harvest has an environment that preserves it. Your harvest has an environment where it could exist freely. Your harvest has an environment where it can thrive. Your harvest has an environment where it will survive. Your harvest has an environment that is conducive for it. Know your place.

The householder already knew that the harvest needed storage, and he ordered that it be taken to the barn. He ordered that the harvest be placed where it will not go missing. As God blesses you, be intentional to stay in God’s barn. Be mindful not to take your harvest into environments that are not safe for you. Be mindful not to expose your harvest to danger that will swallow it. Be mindful not to endanger your harvest.

There are relationships that your harvest should not be exposed to. There are environments that will undermine what God has begun to do in your life. There are environments that will pollute the works of God in your life. What God is doing for you is not for every circle. The same way the harvest was to be placed in the barn, where it would be safe, be intentional to dwell in your safe zone. Dwell under the shadow of the almighty.

The arrival of your harvest is not a permission to discard your boundaries or discernment. As your harvest arrives, remember that it is meant for the barn.
