JUST BELIEVE

SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 41-56

FOCUS: “But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.” (Luke 8: 50)

MEMORY VERSE: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5: 4)

When the messenger from the home of Jairus announced that the child had died, Jesus told Jairus not to fear, but only believe. The news that came to Jairus was such that could make anyone to give up, but Jesus urged faith in the midst of that negative news. Jesus urged Jairus to have faith even when the worst had happened. Jesus urged Jairus to have faith even when something negative was ongoing. Jesus urged Jairus to have faith, not fear.

Friend, no matter what is going on around you, have faith and discard your fears. Use your faith to dispute your fears. Use your faith to counter your fears. Use your faith to weaken your fears. Use your faith to silence your fears. Use your faith to immobilize your fears. Use your faith to put an end to every fear the enemy has planted in you. Use your belief and defeat the fears in your mind. Use your faith to cripple your fears.

Your belief will cripple your fears, but fear will cripple your belief. Fear will weaken your faith in God. Fear will make you see impossibilities where God says it is possible. Fear is the weapon of the enemy to defeat you even before your battles have started. Fear will cause you to stall when you should move forward. Fear will open the doors of stagnation and close the doors of progress. Fear will close major chapters that heaven already opened.

Be intentional to speak with the language of faith. Anyone who is born of God has overcome the world. If Jesus has redeemed you, then speak the language of your faith. Speak in faith. No matter what you see, never allow it to affect your faith language. Never allow fear to disrupt your faith communication. Never allow fear to torment you into losing confidence in what God has said. Don’t let your fears to drive you into losing confidence that God.

Welcome to that season where your fears must make way for your faith to thrive. Welcome to your season of faith communication.
