SCRIPTURE READING: ACTS 12: 1-23
FOCUS: “And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.” (Acts 12: 6)
MEMORY VERSE: “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” (Proverbs 13: 20)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Peter was bound with two chains, between two soldiers, while in prison. Because of Peter, and the need to keep him chained, two soldiers lost their own freedom. Two soldiers were tied down in prison because they were chained to Peter. Two soldiers were kept at a spot because of their connection to Peter. It was not their intention to be stuck, but their connection to Peter at that moment got them stuck in a bad place.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every destiny connection that wants to stagnate you, I command it to break by fire. Every work of the enemy that wants to keep you where you do not belong, let the Lord arise and disconnect you from it. Every satanic connection that is slowing down your movement in destiny, let the Lord arise and scatter it. Let the Lord arise and scatter every relationship that is dragging you into the abyss. Let the Lord arise and scatter every destiny reducing connection.
Because of their connection to Peter, and the need to keep him in one place, soldiers who were tied to Peter also remained in the same place. One man’s stagnation became a collective stagnation for the soldiers. Hear me as I hear the Lord: it will never be said that one man’s stagnation became your own platform for stagnation. It will never be said that you were delayed in destiny because of your connection to someone.
Be mindful of the destiny connections you enter into. Some connections will stagnate you against your wishes. Some relationships will take you down the drains. Some new persons entering into your life might just be the beginning of a new season of stagnation and retrogression, but God forbid. Don’t make the mistake of engaging in relationships without first discerning if they will advance you or stagnate you.
Welcome to your new season of destiny connections that will not stagnate you. If there be wrong connections that you do not need, I command it to break by fire.
