SCRIPTURE READING: EXODUS 1: 15-21
FOCUS: “And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.” (Exodus 1: 19)
MEMORY VERSE: “Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.” (Isaiah 35: 3)
In our Focal Scripture, the Hebrew midwives explained to Pharaoh that the Hebrew women were lively, and put to bed before the midwives even arrived. These were women who ordinarily needed to be assisted to bring their children to birth; but they ended up bringing forth the children before help arrived through the midwives. What they ought to achieve through the midwives, God helped them to achieve by themselves.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever you thought that men will do for you, God is granting you the capacity to do it by yourself. What you thought you needed to achieve through other men, El Roi has planted in you the capacity to make it happen. God is granting you the capacity to do for yourself what you once needed others to do for you. God is granting you capacity to open the doors you needed others to open for you.
The Hebrew women, according to the midwives, were so lively that they had no need for midwives to help them birth their children. What they had in them, made them not to need the midwives. Hear me as I hear the Lord: by reason of what God has put in you, you will gain capacity to do more for yourself than you did in time past. God is increasing your capacity to be useful to yourself. God is increasing your financial capacity.
In this new season, you may not exactly need some people that you once needed. You may not need the medical assistance you once needed. You may not need the helpers that seemed like you could never survive without them. You may not need some systems you once depended on. You may not need what and who you once needed. You may not need to be carried the way you were carried by others in time past.
Welcome to that season where God will use you to do things for yourself that others once did for you. Welcome to your season of heightened capacity.
