SCRIPTURE READING: EXODUS 1: 15-21
FOCUS: “And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.” (Exodus 1: 16)
MEMORY VERSE: “Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.” (Isaiah 8: 10)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Pharaoh told the Hebrew midwives to kill the children of the Hebrew women. There was a conversation between Pharaoh and the Hebrew midwives, to the end that death should be orchestrated against the male children of the Hebrew women. There was a conversation unknown to would-be mothers, plotting to kill what was coming their way. There was a conversation for negativity.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every wicked suggestion to orchestrate your downfall, I command it to scatter by fire. Every satanic voice instigating systems to work against you, I silence them by fire. Every wicked voice that is making satanic enchantments so that you will lose your life, let the fire of God answer them. Every wicked voice that says you will not enjoy the fruit of your labour, let the fire of God answer them.
I silence every voice that is calling death around you. I silence every voice that is calling for your downfall. I silence very voice that is speaking so that you will have bitter tears. I silence every voice that wants to hand you over to the wishes of your enemies. I silence every voice that wants to make a mess of your tomorrow. I silence every voice that wants to institutionalize negativity against you. I silence every wicked voice against you.
The Hebrew midwives refused to heed to the wicked idea of Pharaoh. He instructed them to do evil; he had a conversation with them about the evil to be done, but they refused to execute his wicked plans. I pray for you: may the ears of your helpers be blocked against the evil suggestions of your haters. May the words of your haters be faint in the ears of your helpers. May the wicked suggestions of Pharaoh be rejected by ‘midwives’.
Welcome to that season where the voices of your haters will not be heard in places where your name is mentioned. Welcome to that season where every conversation to hurt you will come to nothing.
