WALK IN FAITH

SCRIPTURE READING: JOHN 5: 1-9

FOCUS: “Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” (John 5: 8)

MEMORY VERSE: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11: 6)

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus said to the man at the pool of Bethesda, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk”. Jesus did not necessarily proclaim healing upon the man. He simply told the man to rise, take his bed, and walk. Jesus spoke to him like his miracle already happened. That man may have been thinking and wondering about when he would eventually be healed, but Jesus spoke to him in a tone that suggested that he was already healed.

Friend, I am aware that you may still have your expectations, but maybe you should turn it around and act like your miracle already happened. Act like your congratulations already came forth. Act like you are already in your new season. Act like you have already hit your targets. Act like you have already arrived at your wealthy place. Act in line with the word of the Lord. Act in line with what God has said about your life.

Jesus commanded the man at Bethesda to rise, take up his bed and walk; and when the man acted in line with what Jesus said, there was a manifestation of healing. The man acted like his miracle already happened, and there was a performance of the word of the Lord. Hear me as I hear the Lord: as you act in faith like your miracle already happened, the evidence shall appear. Act like God has done it, and you will see it manifest.

Our walk with God is a walk of faith. If Jesus would speak like the miracle already happened, then dare to speak like you already have your evidence. Speak like God has already done it. Speak like your evidence is already in your hands. Speak like one who knows that God has done what He said already. Speak like the prayers you made have been answered. Speak according to your faith in Christ, and not according to your circumstances.

As you speak in the ears of the Lord, so shall he do unto you. As you walk and act in faith, your faith will birth your results.
