SCRIPTURE READING: REVELATIONS 12: 1-16
FOCUS: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:” (Revelations 12: 1)
MEMORY VERSE: “And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” (Isaiah 60: 3)
Our Focal Scripture tells the tale of the woman who was clothed with the sun. The sun shines very brightly, and is easily the brightest light there could ever be. So, this woman showed up with extreme brightness. She showed up with light that set her apart. She showed up with light that made her different from everyone else. The light of the sun can simply not be ignored. So, she showed up with light that could not be denied.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are showing up with great brightness in this season and beyond. You will shine brightly, more than you ever did in time past. Your path shines brighter and brighter. Your light will so shine before men that they will see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. Your light will shine in a way that you can no longer be ignored. Your light will shine more than you ever bargained for.
When God created the lights, He designed the sun to be the greater light that rules by day (see Genesis 1 vs. 16). So, this woman in our Focal Scripture turned up with what God Himself called the greater light. She came forth with great shining. Hear me as I hear the Lord: it will be said that you showed up as the greater light. It will be said that you showed up with great shining. It will be said that you turned up with shining that exceeded expectations.
It is your season of great shining. You will shine like the greater light. You will shine like the sun. You will shine even when your haters think you should not be shining. You will shine even when you do not plan to shine. The glory of God upon your life will cause you to shine brighter than ever before. The same way the sun was placed in the firmament of heaven, you will shine in high places. Your light will be placed in high places.
Your days in obscurity are over. Your days in undeniable visibility have just begun. Welcome to your season of great shining.
