SCRIPTURE READING: 1 KINGS 21: 1-29
FOCUS: “And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.” (1 Kings 21: 7)
MEMORY VERSE: “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5: 16)
Prior to our Focal Scripture, Ahab had sought to possess the vineyard of Naboth, either by offering him another one, or paying him money for it. Notice that when Jezebel got involved, she simply declared that she would give the vineyard of Naboth to Ahab. Jezebel was not about to buy or negotiate for the vineyard; she was about to use force to possess what belonged to Naboth. She was about to cause Naboth to lose his possession.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every Jezebel that wants to forcefully take away what El Roi has given you to possess, I decree the judgement of God upon them. I decree God’s judgement upon every arrangement of hell that wants to dispossess you of what is rightly yours. I decree God’s judgement upon anyone that wants to snatch your portion. I decree God’s judgement against anyone that wants to steal your possession.
Notice that this vineyard was not just a vineyard that began with Naboth; it began with his fathers, and was to be passed on to his offspring. So, stealing that vineyard was stealing from the past, present and future generations. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every Jezebel that has arisen to steal what belongs to your past, present and future generations, I decree, let the fire of God answer. The portion of your fathers will not be stolen.
If there be anything that the enemy has stolen from your lineage, take it back. Take back the greatness of your family. Take back the wealth of your family. Take back the grace of God on your family. Take back the favour on your family. Take back the glory of your family. Take back the congratulations of your family. Take back the good news of your family. Take back whatever the enemy took away from your generations.
You will never be counted amongst them who lost their possessions to the Jezebels of this world. It will never be said that what belonged to you was taken away forcefully.
