STUBBORN PURSUERS

SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 18: 1-8

FOCUS: “And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.” (Luke 18: 3)

MEMORY VERSE: “Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;” (2 Thessalonians 1: 6)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of a widow, who came to the judge, requesting to be avenged of her adversary. This woman, being a widow, had lost her spouse, yet the adversary refused to let her be. She had suffered a loss, but the loss refused to deter her adversary. She had been a victim, but it didn’t matter to the adversary. She suffered the loss of her spouse, but her adversary refused to let her be. Her adversary continued after her loss.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every adversary that says they will not rest until you go down, let the hand of God be stretched against them. Let the hand of the Lord be stretched against the messengers of wickedness that say they will not rest until they see you go down the drains. Let the mighty hand of God be stretched against those who want to reinstate negativity in your life. Let the Lord avenge you of every adversary.

That woman had suffered the loss of her spouse, yet she still had an adversary who was not ready to give up the chase. The loss of her spouse was not enough for the adversary. This appeared to be that sort of adversary that does not give up easily. Every stubborn pursuer that says they will not rest until they harm you, let the Lord arise and give them a dose of their troubles. Let the Lord arise and trouble those that want to trouble you.

That woman may have mourned the loss of her spouse, but it was not long before she was faced with the trouble from an adversary. It seemed that she moved from one battle to another fresh battle. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in this final quarter of 2026, there will be no new battles. There will be no new struggles. There will be no new satanic roadblocks. There will be no new messengers of wickedness. No new issues will arise.

Welcome to that season where the Lord will arise and release tribulation to those who trouble you. Welcome to that season where affliction will not arise a second time.
