SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW 9: 20-22FOCUS: “For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.” (Matthew 9: 21)

MEMORY VERSE: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11: 6)

In our Focal Scripture, the woman with the issue of blood said within herself that if she could touch the hem of Jesus’ garments, she would be healed. Notice that in other synoptic gospels, she had suffered in the hands of many physicians, and didn’t get better but rather grew worse. She had made several attempts that didn’t make a difference, but on this one last occasion, she believed that something good could still come her way.Friend, no matter how sad your experiences are, just believe again. Trust God again. Hope again, against hope. Believe that your miracle is still possible. Believe in God’s ability to make the impossible to become possible. Believe that you will still have what you desire no matter how many times you tried and failed. Believe that the best is yet to come your way even if it seems difficult. Believe God for the best even if you’ve seen the worst.Anyone who had spent all that she had on physicians without getting better, could have been forgiven for giving up, but the woman with the issue of blood simply refused to give up. Even at a time when it would make sense to see her give up, she kept believing. Sometimes, when it does not make sense to believe, still believe. Believe even when it does not make sense to believe. Trust God that your sun will shine again. It doesn’t matter how long your expectations have lingered; just believe again. Even if it seems that the year is far gone and your chances are fading away, still believe. Still believe God for those miracles that are yet to come. Still believe God for those doors that are yet to open. Still believe God for those doors of celebrations and congratulations that are yet to come your way. Still believe God even when the odds are against you.Remember, she still believed, and El Roi came through for her. If you dare to still believe, El Roi will show up and show off.FURTHER READING: HEBREWS
