PROLONGED NEGATIVITY

SCRIPTURE READING: JOHN 5: 1-9

FOCUS: “And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.” (John 5: 5)

MEMORY VERSE: “He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.” (Job 28: 3)

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the fact that the man at the pool of Bethesda had an infirmity for thirty eight years. Year after year, he was stuck in the same affliction. Year after year, negativity followed him. Year after year, he was stuck in the same struggle. Years changed, but his life remained the same. Years changed, but negativity did not abate. Years changed, but what was wrong in his life remained wrong unhindered.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are not a candidate for prolonged negativity. I command every negativity that has followed you from year to year, to expire. I command every negativity that has built a seat in your life to be broken. I command every health challenge that has made your life its home, to melt by the fire of God. I command every stronghold of the enemy in your life to melt by fire. I command darkness to end.

For thirty eight years, this particular man was in the same situation. Every year seemed the same because of the same problem. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every power of hell that says your years will be the same, again and again, let it be broken. Every cycle of negativity that finds its way back into your life, I command it to end by fire. Every pattern of negativity that is now entrenched in and around you, I decree, let fire clear the way.

Jesus did not go to the cross so that your life can be the same year after year. Jesus did not go to the cross so that you will struggle endlessly with affliction and sickness. Jesus went to the cross to pay so that you will not pay again. Jesus paid so that you can be free and free indeed. If Jesus has taken center stage in your life, refuse to allow any seat of Satan to survive in and around you. Refuse to allow the enemy to have a free pass in your life.

Welcome to that season where prolonged negativity is forbidden from your life. Welcome to that season where there will be no access for evil to follow you from year to year.
