SCRIPTURE READING: 1 CORINTHIANS 16: 8-9

FOCUS: “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” (1 Corinthians 16: 9)

MEMORY VERSE: “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” (Hebrews 4: 10)

In our Focal Scripture, Apostle Paul speaks of how a great and effectual door was opened unto him. In 1 Corinthians 15 vs. 32, Paul made mention of how he fought with wild beasts in order to be in Ephesus. By the next chapter, he began to speak of how doors were opened to him. He fought for it in the previous chapter, but it was subsequently opened to him. What he previously fought for, became his portion afterwards.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the same things you fought for in time past will become your evidence in this new season. The same thing you fought to achieve in the past will come to you on a platter of grace and mercy. The same things you struggled to attain will come to you by the help of God. The same things you worked so hard to make happen in time past, God Himself will make it happen for you without much ado.

The things that came by labour in time past will come by grace in this season. The things you made efforts to achieve will come to you effortlessly. The same things that seemed difficult in time past, will soon become easy achievements. The same things you were told to fight for, you will be called to come and take them. God is moving you from a season when you must fight for it, to a season where you will get it without a fight.

The same God who caused Paul to move from fighting contenders in Ephesus, to having doors opened to him in the same Ephesus, will cause you to enter into rest in places where you fought and laboured. You are transited from the place of labour to the place of rest. You are moving from struggles to grace. You are moving from efforts without results, to mega results that exceed your labour.

Your doors are finally open. What you fought for in time past has become your evidence.
