SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW 9: 20-22
FOCUS: “And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:” (Matthew 9: 20)
MEMORY VERSE: “Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.” (Psalm 124: 7)
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the woman with the issue of blood. Notice that this woman did not cause the problem of the issue of blood by herself. She was only a victim of what she did not plan for. She suffered as a result of a problem she did not invite. The law in Leviticus 15 vs. 19-30, stipulated negative consequences for one with the issue of blood. She did not cause the problem, but she suffered the consequences.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every law that wants to make you a victim of what you did not create, I decree, it is broken. I decree an end to every scheme of the enemy that wants to make you a victim of situations you did not create. You will not be a victim of affliction. You will not be a victim of another man’s mistake. You will not be a victim of the conspiracies of men. You will not be a victim of negative circumstances that others created.
The issue of blood could be termed a medical condition. So, the woman with the issue of blood suffered a medical condition that made her a victim. What she did not bargain for, became her lot. She began suffering what she did not invite to herself. She became a victim of negativity that came to her. Hear me as I hear the Lord; you will not suffer for negativity that simply came to you. You will not be the destination of negativity.
The days of being a victim of what you did not do, is over. Notice that in the redemption plan of Jesus, you are not even permitted to be a victim of what you did, because Jesus paid already. By the redemption plan of Jesus, you are set free from the curse of your mistakes. You will not be a victim of your own mistakes. You will not be stuck with consequences of what you did wrong in time past. The blood of Jesus cleanses you from error.
Welcome to that season where you will no longer be a victim of what you did not do. Welcome to that season where you will no longer be a victim.
