NO BITTER TEARS

SCRIPTURE READING: REVELATIONS 12: 1-16

FOCUS: “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.” (Revelations 12: 4)

MEMORY VERSE: “For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.” (Philippians 2: 27)

Prior to our Focal Scripture, the woman was in tears and in travail, waiting to bring forth her child. The dragon was also waiting for the woman to birth her child so that it could be devoured. If the dragon succeeded in devouring the child, it would have been a case of crying in pain because she was about to be delivered of her child, and then, crying because she lost her child. She would have moved from tears to more tears.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not cry bitter tears. You will not move from tears to more tears. You will not move from tears arising from your efforts, to another set of tears arising from what the enemy has done successfully against you. You will not be the victim of misfortunes that will lead to tears and more tears. You will not be a victim of tragedies that will lead to bitter tears. You won’t suffer experiences that birth bitter tears.

That woman cried in pain while trying to give birth to her child, but she did not cry again afterwards. Hear me as I hear the Lord: whatever you have already cried about, you will not cry about it again. Whatever has already made you cry will not make you cry again. Powers that want you to cry again and again, I decree, you are not their candidate. Powers that say you will move from tears to more tears, I decree, they will not prevail.

Jesus did not redeem you into a covenant of perpetual tears. Jesus did not redeem you so that you can cry every day. The redemption by the blood of Jesus shuts the doors on negativity. If it is not of God, don’t just cry about it in pain and pity; cry to God about it. Don’t excite and entertain the enemy with your tears. Don’t accept to cry bitter tears. Don’t allow the doors of bitter tears to be opened in your life. Say no to bitter tears.

It may be okay to shed tears of pain when you are travailing in the course of birth, but it is not okay to still shed bitter tears after you have brought forth.
