SCRIPTURE READING: 1 SAMUEL 30: 1-20
FOCUS: “And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;” (1 Samuel 30: 1)
MEMORY VERSE: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5: 20)
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of how David returned to find that the Amalekites had invaded Ziklag and burnt it with fire. David and his men had gone to align with the Philistines in order to fight Israel, and they came home to see that their wives and children had been taken. David aligned with the enemies of God to fight God’s people, and he suffered a loss at the home front. David set out to fight the kingdom, and he suffered a loss.
Friend, as the second half of 2026 begins, never be part of fighting your own. Never be part of fighting against the kingdom. Never get involved in fighting kingdom agenda. Never become a tool in the hands of the enemy to fight against the will of God. Never become a messenger in the hands of the devil to undermine the plan of God in the lives of people. Never become a messenger of satanic agenda in the hands of the enemy.
The Philistines had an agenda against the children of Israel. They raised a battle against the children of Israel, and David made himself available to fight in that battle. May it never be said that you became an accomplice in the battles against your own. May it never be said that you willingly chose to fight against kingdom agenda. May it never be said that you chose to use your might and strength to decimate kingdom potentials.
God did not make David strong so that he could arise and fight against the kingdom. David was anointed so he could reign over Israel, but he soon aligned with the enemies of God to fight the same kingdom he was meant to reign over. If God has appointed you to rule over it, please by no means destroy it. If God has put you in charge, by no means pull it down. If God puts it in your hand, don’t join the enemy to destroy it.
May it never be said that you were a party to destroying your own. May it never be said that you aligned with men and systems against God’s agenda.
