SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 43-48

FOCUS: “And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.” (Luke 8: 47)

MEMORY VERSE: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6: 33)

When the woman with the issue of blood saw that she was not hid after she received her miracle, she came trembling and falling down before Jesus. She received her miracle, and a major step she took was to come trembling and falling down at Jesus’ feet. She received her miracle, and her first step was to go closer to the source of her miracle. She received her miracle, and her first step was to position herself closer to Jesus.

Friend, when it seems you have received from the Lord what you always desired, an important first step would be to get closer to Him. Let every miracle take you closer to Jesus. Let every divine intervention make you take steps in furtherance of your intimacy with God. Let every gift that God sends your way be an occasion for you to draw nearer to Him. Let every miracle bring you back to His feet. Let every miracle draw you to Jesus.

As God opens new doors for you, let those new doors cause you to love Him more. Let every breakthrough that God grants you make you to become even more prayerful. Let every divinely orchestrated elevation be an occasion for you to see reasons to love God more. Let every help you receive from above, cause you to keep your eyes above and set your affection above. Let every miracle take you closer to Jesus.

It is foolishness to imagine that you need God less because of what He has done for you. It is foolhardy to imagine that whatever you have received from God is an indication to walk away as you so wish. It will be a case of immaturity on your part to imagine that you can now disappear from His presence because of what you got from His presence. It will be profusely shortsighted for you to think that a miracle means you should walk away.

Let every miracle be a reason to deepen your intimacy with Jesus. Don’t let whatever God does for you to make you walk away from Him.
