SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 43-48

FOCUS: “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,” (Luke 8: 43)

MEMORY VERSE: “Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.” (Isaiah 56: 5)

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the woman with the issue of blood. Before she was mentioned, there was a mention of Jairus, who was a ruler in the synagogue. Jairus’ name was mentioned, but this woman with the issue of blood did not have her name mentioned. She was given an identity on the basis of what she was going through. Her affliction became her new identity. Her affliction swallowed her identity.

Friend, I pray for you: every negativity that has become your identity, I decree, let the power of God scatter it now. Every structure of hell that has clothed you with an identity of calamity, I decree, it will not prevail. Every sickness that has become your identity, I decree, it ends now. Every negative burden the enemy put on you to diminish your destiny, I decree, let that burden be rolled away. Let every negative identity expire.

That woman actually had a name, but her affliction soon became louder than her name. She had a name, but what she suffered soon became more prominent than her real name. What she suffered, swallowed her identity. I pray for you: no affliction will become louder than your name. No negativity will become more prominent in your life to the extent of swallowing your name. Nothing will swallow your identity.

El Roi has called you by a new name: your new name is healed and delivered; your new name is ransomed of the Lord; your new name is blessed and highly favoured; your new name is back to back congratulations; your new name is of God, not of affliction; your new name is from the mouth of the Lord, not from the works of darkness. El Roi is giving you a new name, better than the name of sons and daughters.

Welcome to the new season where you will not answer to any name that is not of God. Welcome to that season where no negativity will swallow your identity.
