SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW 9: 20-22

FOCUS:And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:(Matthew 9: 20)

MEMORY VERSE: “For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.” (Psalm 107: 16)

Our Focal Scripture introduces the woman with the issue of blood. This woman had experienced an issue of blood for twelve years. In Leviticus 15 vs. 19-30, God Himself gave rules that were to be observed by people who had an issue of blood. The law required her to stay away from people for the period of her issue of blood. Her situation had caused her to be disconnected from the people she needed. Her affliction, disconnected her.

Notice that before this woman could receive her healing, she intentionally chose to go towards Jesus. She went towards the person she needed. She broke away from the law that kept her confined, and she gravitated towards the person she needed. She refused to be kept at a spot by the law. She refused to be confined to a spot on account of the law. She refused to be constrained by the idea that she should disconnect from everyone.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every law that wants to keep you confined, is broken. Every law that wants to keep you away from the help you need, I decree, it ends now. Every arrangement of hell to keep you away from the help and helpers that God planted on your pathway, I decree, it scatters now. The help you need will be closer than you ever imagined. The help you need will come when it can still be useful to you.

If that woman with the issue of blood had remained in confinement, with no help and helpers, she would have probably never met Jesus. She broke out of the law in order to meet Jesus. Don’t accept to live under any law that is inconsistent with the New Covenant realities. If it is inconsistent with the finished work of Christ, reject it. If it wants to keep you in bondage, reject it. Reject every confinement from the enemy.

Jesus has already set you free; you will not live under the curse of the law. You will no longer be bound. Every confinement disconnecting you from help and helpers, is broken.
