SCRIPTURE READING: JOHN 5: 1-14
FOCUS: “The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.” (John 5: 10)
MEMORY VERSE: “Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.” (1 Samuel 2: 3)
When Jesus made the proclamation of the healing of the man at the pool of Bethesda, some Jews who witnessed the miracle protested that it was unlawful for that man to carry his bed on the Sabbath. Something good was coming to the man at the pool, but some people had no supportive words for him. Something good was coming, but some people wanted to scuttle it with their perspective. Naysayers showed up against the man.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: no matter the naysayers that gather against you, they will not be able to scuttle your destiny advancement. No matter the naysayers that choose to speak against you, they will not be able to hinder the plan of God for your life. No matter the gang up against you by naysayers, their words will not stop your miracle. No matter how the naysayers strike, they will not be able to stop what God is doing in you.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: the words of men will not spoil your glory season. The words of men will not hinder your rising. The words of men will not make a mess of the works of God in your life. The words of your naysayers will not cause your heaven to be closed. The words of your naysayers will not divert your miracle. The words of naysayers will not hinder your portion. Those speaking against you will not stop God’s work in you.
Notice that this was a case of thirty-eight years of infirmity broken in one swoop, but the naysayers had no kind words. Something worth celebrating came forth, but the naysayers showed up as spoilers. Note this: there will always be spoilers when El Roi shows up to do for you what you cannot do for yourself; but don’t let them distract you. Also be intentional to never be a spoiler and a naysayer when it is another man’s glory season.
In this season and beyond, the words of your naysayers will not stop your new season from unfolding. The position of those against you will not scuttle the agenda of heaven in your life.
