SCRIPTURE READING: 1 SAMUEL 17: 1-53

FOCUS: “4. And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. 5. And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.” (1 Samuel 17: 4-5)

MEMORY VERSE: “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.” (Isaiah 54: 15)

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the armour of Goliath. Goliath had heavy armour, with which he showed up. Goliath showed capacity by what he wore. He showed capacity by how he appeared. His appearance with his armour was enough to defeat a fearful soldier. He showed up in a way that would make it seem impossible to defeat him; but in the end, he was defeated. He showed up looking indefatigable, but he went down.

Friend, it doesn’t matter how indefatigable your Goliath seems; as surely as the Lord lives, Goliath is going down. Those enemies that have gathered against you are going down. Those usurpers and contenders that have gathered against you are going down. Those that have arisen to undermine you and scuttle your advancement, are going down. Those that have vowed that your territory will become theirs, are going down.

No matter the arrangements that hell has made against you, you have already overcome. No matter the arrows that are fired against you, you have already won. No matter how insurmountable your challenges appear, you already have victory. No matter how irreversible your health challenge seems, El Roi is more than enough to bring it down. No matter how it seems that all hope is lost, El Roi is enough to give you victory.

Goliath came with his entire armour, but just one stone from David was enough to bring him down. He came as a champion from Gath, but one stone was enough to bring him down. No matter how your Goliath looks, just one stone will be enough to bring him down. No matter how it seems that the enemy has had the final say, the same God who empowered David to bring down Goliath will enable you to bring down your Goliath.

Welcome to that season where your Goliath will come down no matter how sophisticated he seems. Welcome to that season of victory with ease.
