SCRIPTURE READING: ACTS 16: 16-39
FOCUS: “One day, as we were going to the house of prayer, we encountered a young slave girl who had an evil spirit of divination, the spirit of Python. She had earned great profits for her owners by being a fortune-teller.” (Acts 16: 16 TPT)
MEMORY VERSE: “Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.” (Psalm 124: 6)
In our Focal Scripture, mention is made about a young slave girl who was possessed with a python spirit and who followed Paul and Silas about for many days. One major strategy of the python is to swallow its victim. The python may not necessarily devour its target, but it works by swallowing the target and gradually digesting same. So, the spirit that followed Paul and Silas was a spirit that was famed for swallowing its victim.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every power of hell that has arisen to swallow your destiny, I decree, let the earth arise and swallow it. Every power of hell that wants to swallow your efforts and results, I decree, it will not prevail. Every power that wants to swallow your tomorrow, I decree, it will not stand. Every power that wants to swallow your congratulations and celebrations, I decree, it will not stand. You will not be swallowed.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: your results will not be swallowed. Your life will not be swallowed. Your greatness will not be swallowed. Your health will not be swallowed. Your finances will not be swallowed. Your children’s destinies will not be swallowed. Your relevance will not be swallowed. Your good news will not be swallowed. What the Lord has purposed for your life will not be swallowed. No power will swallow your destiny.
By the spirit of fire and of judgement, I decree, whatever has arisen to swallow you will be consumed. Every system that wants to swallow you will be swallowed. Every conspiracy that wants to swallow you will be swallowed. You will not be meat for the enemy. You will not be consumed by those that have come against you. The earth will swallow whatever has arisen to swallow you. You will not be swallowed by the enemy.
The days when what is yours can be swallowed with ease, are over. Welcome to that season where you can no longer be swallowed.
