SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 15: 11-32
FOCUS: “But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:” (Luke 15: 22)
MEMORY VERSE: “Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.” (Psalm 84: 5)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when the father of the prodigal son ordered that shoes be put on his feet. So apparently, the prodigal son returned without shoes on his feet. Apparently, he was walking bare footed. He was not going to walk in comfort. His father ordered that shoes be put on his feet. The feet are symbolic of movement and advancement. So, the prodigal received the blessing of movement and advancement.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will advance. You will move forward. You will rise higher. You will make progress. You will go forward. You will move from where you are to where you ought to be. You will move from where you are to where heaven has destined you to be. You will move from your low places to your high places. You will move from the back to the front. You will move from obscurity to undeniable relevance.
A man without shoes on his feet could still move, but may be at risk of getting too dirty or even injured in the course of movement. Moving with shoes on the feet is definitely easier and safer. So, the prodigal son received the blessing of moving with ease and in safety. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your advancement shall come with ease. Your rising shall come with safety. You will not be injured in the course of your rising and advancement.
The power of stagnation is broken over your life. It will never be said that you came to the highway of life and did not move forward. It will never be said that you came to the brink of your new season and remained stagnated. It will never be said that you missed your time to move forward. It will never be said that your career, business, finances, ministry, family, relationships, vocation, etc. did not move forward.
Welcome to that season where you will move and never be stagnated. Welcome to that season where your rising will come with ease.
