SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 1: 5-25, 57-66

FOCUS: “And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.” (Luke 1: 20)

MEMORY VERSE: “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” (Romans 10: 8)

In our Focal Scripture, the Angel of the Lord spoke to Zachariah about the word of the Lord which would be fulfilled in their season. There was a word of the Lord concerning Zachariah; there was a word concerning the prayers he had been making; there was a word that God was going to fulfill, and it was coming in a season. So, the word that God spoke had a season it was coming with. God spoke a word, and a new season came forth.

Friend, when God speaks, new seasons come forth. When God speaks, the doors of the new are opened. When God speaks, the old makes way for the new. When God speaks, old afflictions are rolled away. When God speaks, mountains are made low. When God speaks, crooked paths are made straight. When God speaks, rough places are made smooth. When God speaks, old seasons end and new seasons begin.

One major strategy of victory for the New Testament Christian is to speak the word of the Lord. When you say what God is saying, you become the mouthpiece of God that announces new seasons. When you say what God is saying, you activate the unfolding of the new. When you say what God is saying, you put an end to the works of the enemy. When you say what God is saying, you make your new season come into being.

When it seems that you are stuck in old seasons, old challenges, old afflictions, old orders, old negative patterns, old battles, old issues, old strongholds, etc. do well to speak the word of the Lord and you would see a new season emerge. Speak the word of the Lord to every old season and you will see the new season emerge. Speak the word of the Lord when you are tired of the old and you will see God unveil a new season before you.

Don’t allow your old seasons remain. Interrupt the old season with the word of the Lord and you will watch new seasons unfold.
