SCRIPTURE READING: 2 KINGS 9: 1-13
FOCUS: “And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:” (2 Kings 9: 1)
MEMORY VERSE: “I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” (Isaiah 41: 18)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Elisha sent one of the sons of the prophets to take a box of oil, to go and anoint Jehu in Ramothgilead. The anointing of Jehu was to take place at Ramothgilead. Notice that Ahab was killed in Ramothgilead (see 1 Kings 22). Israel had suffered a loss in Ramothgilead. Something had gone wrong in Ramothgilead, and God orchestrated the anointing of a new king to happen in the same place.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in the same places where you suffered loss in time past, you are about to rise again. In the same places where others went down, you are about to go up. In the same places where your destiny was hindered in time past, you are about to be established on a higher level. In the same places where tragedy happened before, a new rising is about to happen. The place of pain is becoming a place of kingship.
Israel lost a king in Ramothgilead, and was about to get a new king in the same Ramothgilead. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in the same places where you suffered loss, receive restoration. May your greatness be restored. May your finances be restored. May your ministry be restored. May your career be restored. May your celebrations be restored. May your good news be restored. May whatever you lost be restored. Let there be restoration.
The tables are turning in your favour in 2025. Cycles of losses are making way for gains. Cycles of misfortune are making way for a rising. Cycles of delay are making way for speed. Whatever that went wrong is making way for something to go right. As surely as the Lord lives, the eyes of El Roi have seen where you lost, and your restoration will come with huge compensation. Where you cried before, you will soon celebrate.
Welcome to that new season where your places of pain and bitter tears are becoming places of a great rising. Welcome to that season where the tables are turning in your favour.
