SCRIPTURE READING: 1 KINGS 18: 40-46
FOCUS: “And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” (1 Kings 18: 46)
MEMORY VERSE: “And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:” (Deuteronomy 28: 13)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the hand of the Lord came on Elijah, and he ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. The hand of the Lord was upon Elijah, and he outran the chariots of Ahab. Ahab was a wicked king; he reigned over a wicked dynasty; he was a purveyor of satanism in his days; and when the hand of the Lord came on Elijah, it made sure to put him ahead of Ahab. The hand of the Lord put Elijah ahead of negativity.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not follow negativity in your destiny journey. You will not be found keeping pace with the arrangements of hell. You will not be led in your journey by the Ahab’s of this world. You will not be overtaken by the wickedness of the wicked. You will not play catch up with negativity. You will not be led by evil kings. You will not be led by altars of darkness. God is placing you ahead of every satanic altar.
Ahab took off before Elijah, and so it was natural that he would be ahead of Elijah; but when the hand of the Lord came on Elijah, there was a reversal: Elijah that was behind went ahead, and the Ahab that was previously ahead went behind. Hear me as I hear the Lord: by the hand of the Lord, whatever negativity that was ahead of you is now behind; and wherever you were playing second fiddle to negativity, you move ahead.
Today, I decree a reversal of placement. Wherever you were behind, by the hand of the Lord, move ahead. Wherever you were the victim, let the tables turn, and take your place as the victor. Wherever the enemy once prevailed, it is your turn to prevail. Wherever the enemy once reigned supreme, God has placed you ahead. You are the head; you will not be the tail; you will be above only and not beneath.
Welcome to your season of increased dominion. As surely as the Lord lives, you will not trail behind the enemy. No negativity will run ahead of you.
