SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 26-39
FOCUS: “And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.” (Luke 8: 27)
MEMORY VERSE: “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” (Ephesians 5: 14)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the man who was possessed by unclean spirits dwelt in the tomb. He was alive, but he lived in the midst of people who were dead and decayed. He was alive but he put himself in the midst of dead things. He had life in him, but he was surrounded by multitudes of those who had no life in them. He was alive but his abode was with the dead. He was alive but had a connection with the dead.
Friend, it is an error to be alive and still be connected to the dead. It is an error to be alive but be surrounded and be in affinity with dead works. It is an error to be filled with the life of Christ and still be in love with the works of darkness. It is an error to be alive and still be covenanted with dead works. It is an error to have the life of Christ in you and still be in love with the dead works of sin and unrighteousness.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: every dead work that you are currently connected to, I decree, receive your freedom now. Arise and walk away from the tombs. Arise and walk away from places and relationships that put you in conflict with Christ. Arise and disconnect from every dead work that you have grown an affinity for. Arise and break away from every sin that easily besets you. Arise and break away from the shackles of uncleanness.
You have been quickened by the Lord if indeed Christ has set you free. Live therefore, like one with life in the spirit man. Live like one who has the life of God inside. Live like one who has been delivered and fully disconnected from the works of the flesh. Live like one whose soul has escaped out of the snare of negativity. Live like one in whom the dwells fullness of the Godhead bodily. Live like one who is complete in Christ alone.
Arise from the dead, arise from the grave, arise from the tombs, arise and disconnect from dead works, and Christ will give you light.
