SCRIPTURE READING: ACTS 16: 16-39

FOCUS: “19. And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers, 20. And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,” (Acts 16: 19-20)

MEMORY VERSE: “1. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” (Psalm 37: 1-2)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the masters of the demon possessed damsel brought Paul and Silas to the rulers and magistrates. Paul had cast out a demon from the demon possessed girl; and when her masters saw that the hope of their gains were gone, they turned the rulers and magistrates against Paul and Silas. Legal and government systems were turned against Paul and Silas, and their crime was that they cast out a demon.

Friend, any man that wants to turn systems and structures against you for no just cause, let their efforts come to futility. Any man that wants to turn the hearts of those in power against you, just to suppress your impact and influence, I decree, their works will come to nothing. Any man that wants to use the law against you because you did what is right, may their efforts come to nothing. You will not be a victim of systems just for doing good.

Ordinarily, anyone who cast out demons from a demon possessed person should be commended for lifting the banner of Jesus, but for Paul and Silas, their good became an occasion for them to be plotted against. The good they did put them in trouble. Hear me as I hear the Lord: any conspiracy to use your good works against you, and any plot to put you in trouble because of your good works, I decree, let it scatter by fire.

I pray for you: may the systems of this world turn and work in your favour. May men in power align with your interest. May the thrones of men be in alignment with your interest. May the works of your hands cause you to stand before kings and not before mean men. May the thrones of men not become your albatross. May the voices of your haters and opposers not prevail when your name is mentioned in high places.

Welcome to that season where your influence will be unmitigated. Welcome to that season where no man will turn the systems of this world against you.
