SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 26-39
FOCUS: “And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.” (Luke 8: 27)
MEMORY VERSE: “God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” (Psalm 68: 6)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the man that met Jesus, did not live in any house, but in the tombs. Ordinarily, someone who was described as a man should have lived in a house, but this particular man lived in the tombs. He didn’t dwell where he ought to dwell, and he dwelt where he ought not to dwell. He was simply displaced in destiny. He found space in a place that was meant for the dead. He was a wanderer in destiny.
Friend, I pray for you: you will not be displaced in destiny. You will not be a wanderer in destiny. You will not occupy places in destiny that are not meant for you. You will not be pushed out of the places that are meant for you. You will not be counted amongst them that are wandering without having a destiny location. You will not be located in places below your destiny mandate. You will not be a dweller of tombs. You will not be a wanderer.
Someone who dwells in a house, at least, has a stable address. If something were to be sent to such a person, one could infer that there is a location where the package that is sent could be received. Notice that in the case of this man, he had no reasonable address, except the tombs. If anything good were to come, there was nowhere for it to locate him. Every destiny location that wants you to be a loser in destiny, I reverse it now.
Jesus did not redeem you so that you can be a wanderer in destiny. Jesus did not set you free so that you can have an unstable life. Jesus saved you so that your life can have a meaning. Jesus saved you so that you can be all that heaven destined you to be. Jesus saved you so that your habitation will not be desolate. Jesus saved you so that you can be a repairer of breaches, and raise the foundations of many generations.
The days of wandering without possession, are over. The days of dwelling in the tombs, are over. As surely as the Lord lives, you will be planted in your own place.
