SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW 20: 1-16

FOCUS: “They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.” (Matthew 20: 7)

MEMORY VERSE: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” (Ecclesiastes 9: 11)

In our Focal Scripture, the men who were hired at the eleventh hour told the householder that they were idle in the marketplace because no man had hired them. They had spent nearly an entire day but had no man to hire them. They had capacity to work as labourers, they came forth to work as labourers, but they didn’t see any man that could hire them. They had capacity but no man needed their capacity. They lacked opportunity.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: for every capacity that heaven has bestowed on you, you will have opportunities. You will have opportunities to earn. You will have opportunities to rise. You will have opportunities to become more than you are currently. You will have opportunities to manifest your potentials. You will have opportunities to make impact. You will have opportunities to become relevant and attain influence.

The men who were hired at the eleventh hour were still waiting for opportunities when the householder came and hired them. What they came looking for turned around and came looking for him. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the opportunities you are looking for will come looking for you. The men you are looking for will come looking for you. The men who need the capacity you have in you, will soon come looking for you.

Notice that this was not a case of having nothing to offer; it was a case of having nothing to do; it was a case of having capacity but no opportunity. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will never be counted amongst them that have capacity but no opportunity. As you rise, you will come face to face with the opportunities that will help you express your capacity. You will not wait for opportunities; opportunities will wait for you.

Welcome to your new season of major opportunities. Welcome to that season which will bring your capacity face to face with opportunities.
