SCRIPTURE READING: JUDGES 16: 1-31

FOCUS: “And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.” (Judges 16: 5)

MEMORY VERSE: “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.” (Nahum 1: 9)

When the lords of the Philistines came with money in hand to Delilah, their goal was to get to the root of Samson’s strength so that they could bind him to afflict him. Their goal was to put affliction on Samson. They wanted to get a chance to subdue Samson. They wanted a chance to treat him badly. They wanted a chance to bring pain and adversity into the life of Samson. They wanted a chance to introduce trouble that never existed before.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be afflicted by the enemy. The enemy will not open the doors of your life to pain. The enemy will not open the doors of your life to shame and disgrace. The enemy will not open the doors of your life to trouble. The enemy will not open the doors of your life to adversity. The enemy will not open the doors of your life to demonic subjection. The enemy will not make you a victim of his attacks.

Every attack that wants to introduce affliction into your life, I decree, it will not prevail. Every plan of the enemy to introduce new sicknesses in your life and in your lineage, I decree, he will not prevail. Every plot of the enemy to make you suffer what others around you are suffering, I decree, it will not succeed. Every plan of the enemy to introduce struggles into your life, I decree, it will not stand. Your doors are not open to affliction.

Jesus did not redeem you so that you can be stuck in afflictions. Jesus did not redeem you so that you can live a life of struggle. Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Jesus came that you will not struggle with whatever you struggled with in time past. Jesus came that your life will be free from affliction. Every arrow of affliction fired at you, I command it to return to sender. I decree an end to every affliction in your life.

Welcome to that new season where your life will not be under affliction. Welcome to that season where you will not live in pain or adversity.
