SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 1: 5-25, 57-66

FOCUS:And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.(Luke 1: 20)

MEMORY VERSE: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55: 11)

In our Focal Scripture, Angel Gabriel reminded Zachariah that the word he had just announced will be fulfilled in its season. There was a timeline for what God was about to do for Zachariah, and Gabriel announced that the timeline would be strictly followed. The word of the Lord was not going to be delayed. The plan of God was not going to be interrupted by the enemy. The word that God spoke had a season for fulfillment.

Friend, that word you heard from God is for a season, and it will be fulfilled in that season that God already ordained for its fulfillment. Your rising will be fulfilled in its season. Your breakthroughs will be fulfilled in their season. That promise that God made to you will be fulfilled in its season. That congratulations that is coming your way will be fulfilled in its season. That door that heaven is about to open will be opened in its season.

God’s word for Zachariah was not comedy. It was not an attempt to entertain him. It was an attempt to announce what was about to happen. Hear me as I hear the Lord: if God has said it, it will come to pass. Your blessing is coming to pass. Your miracles are coming to pass in their due time. Your good news will not be postponed. Your doors and gates will open in their due season. Your children will be birthed in their due season.

If God has said it, no devil can stop it. If God has started it, the devil can’t finish it on his own terms. It doesn’t matter if yours is like the case of Zachariah where the word of the Lord did not make any sense; because God has promised, He will never fail. Every promise of God is just an infinitesimal fraction of what He can do. He can even promise and yet go ahead to do more than He promised. He can promise and see to its finish.

Welcome to that new season where the word of the Lord concerning you will be fulfilled. Welcome to that season that will witness the fulfillment of the word of the Lord concerning you.
