SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 19: 28-40

FOCUS: “Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.” (Luke 19: 30)

MEMORY VERSE: “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” (John 15: 2)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Jesus ordered two of His disciples to go into a village and untie a colt which had been tied. That colt was to be brought to Jesus. That colt received help to be untied from where it was tied. It received help to be disconnected from the place where it was allowed to exist, but not allowed to move. It received help to be disconnected. It received the help of disconnection.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: receive the help of disconnection. Receive help to break away from the places where you are no longer needed. Receive help to break away from the places where your destiny has no chance to rise. Receive help to be disconnected from the places where men are watching over you to ensure that you do not rise. Receive help to be disconnected from the place of stagnation. Receive the help of disconnection.

The colt needed to carry Jesus into Jerusalem, but it first needed to be disconnected from the place where it was. It had a current location and a future opportunity for relevance, and it received help to be disconnected. Hear me as I hear the Lord: receive help to be disconnected from your current season. Receive help to be disconnected from every location where your stay has expired. Receive help to be disconnected for the past.

The colt had a place in heaven’s agenda, but it could not get into it without disconnecting from the place where it was tied. If you remain connected and attached to the place where you are currently tied, you may be unable to fully engage in and participate in heaven’s agenda. If you remain connected to the places and people you ought to disconnect from, you won’t be able to connect with the places that heaven prepared for you.

Get set to receive the help of disconnection. Receive the help of men who will disconnect you from the places you need to walk away from.
