SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 1: 5-25, 57-66

FOCUS: “And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.” (Luke 1: 19)

MEMORY VERSE: “As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.” (Proverbs 25: 25)

In our Focal Scripture, the Angel of the Lord told Zachariah that he was sent to show him glad tidings. The Angel of the Lord affirmed that he was sent to announce good news to Zachariah. What was about to come the way of Zachariah was good news. What heaven was about to make happen for Zachariah was good news. What was about to become the reality of Zachariah was good news. The agenda of heaven for Zachariah was good news.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are in your season of good news. The angels of God have been commissioned to unveil your good news. The messengers of God’s will have been unleashed to bring good news your way. You shall have good news in your family; you shall have good news in your health; you shall have good news in your vocation; you shall have good news in your career; you shall have good news on all sides.

What God was about to do for Zachariah and his wife Elizabeth was nothing short of good news. Their miracle was going to come forth as good news to anyone who was going to hear it. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to receive that miracle that will bring you good news. You are about to receive that divine surprise that will make news for the right reasons. Good news you did not plan for is about to locate you from all sides.

The assignment of the Angel of the Lord involved the unveiling of good news. So, there was going to be no bad news. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in this season and beyond, there will be no bad news in and around you. You will not wake up to sudden bad news. You will not wake up to sudden decline. You will not wake up to sudden misfortune. You will not wake up to sudden disaster. You will not wake up to hear bad news from any corner.

The agenda of God for your life is good news, not bad news. I pray for you: may good news surround you on all sides; and may every door of bad news be shut forever.
