SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 26-39
FOCUS: “Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.” (Luke 8: 39)
MEMORY VERSE: “Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.” (Ezekiel 37: 12)
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus told the man who had been demon possessed, to return to his own house. This man had a house, but demonic possession drove him out of the house and into the tombs and wilderness. Jesus restored him, and ordered him to return to his own house. Jesus ordered him to go back to where the enemy displaced him from. Jesus ordered him to go back to his rightful place in destiny. Jesus restored him to his place.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: it is your season of restoration. Wheresoever the enemy pushed you out from, El Roi is restoring you back to base. El Roi is restoring you back to your place. El Roi is restoring you back to the places you were pushed out of. El Roi is restoring you back to the important relationships you lost. El Roi is restoring you back to those who need you and those you need. El Roi is restoring you back to your own.
Someone who saw that man roaming the streets and the tombs and the wilderness would not imagine that he had his own house and home before demonic possession truncated his destiny. Prior to Jesus’ intervention, he didn’t seem like one who had a place to return to. Every embarrassment the enemy has made out of your life, I decree, let there be restoration. Let your dignity be restored. Let your glory be restored.
Jesus restored this man, and he went into the city to tell the tale of what the Lord had done for him. Jesus restored him and he used his own lips to tell of his new season. Just in case anyone thought he was still in the old season of demonic affliction, with his own mouth, he told the tale of the transition to the new. You may have been mocked, castigated, embarrassed, dejected, etc. but as surely as the Lord lives, you will tell the tale of the new.
Welcome to your season of restoration. Welcome to that season where the Lord is restoring you to the places you were pushed out from.
