SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 15: 11-32

FOCUS: “And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” (Luke 15: 20)

MEMORY VERSE: “Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.” (Psalm 18: 43)

In the Jewish culture during the bible times, if the youths or other relatives saw the prodigal son before his father did, they had the right to beat him and even stone him to death. So, his decision to arise and go back to his father was a huge risk that could get him killed. Notice that before he could be found by people who could mess him up, his father saw him. His father saw him before those who wanted to shame him saw him.

Friend, no matter the plans of the enemy, the Father already has you within sights. The Father already knows about those who want to stone you, but He won’t let them. He knows the people who want you to go under, but He won’t let them. He knows the people who want to make a mess of your destiny, He knows those who are not willing to give you a chance, he knows those who will condemn you, but He won’t let them.

Before they raise their voices and their stones against you, there will be a divine interruption. Before you get to your desired miracle, it will be brought closer to you. Before you are treated like a victim of those who do not like you, the Lord would have made a way for you out of trouble. Before you encounter the roadblocks that await you on your way to your miracle, the Lord would have turned the tide in your favour.

It will never be said that your haters were well ahead of your helpers. It will never be said that the voices of those against you prevailed and were louder than the voices that are speaking in your favour. While you are looking for it, what you are looking for will come looking for you. While you are journeying to your target, the journey will be shortened. You will hit your target earlier than expected. You will get there before your foes arrive.

The same God that caused the prodigal son to meet his father before the haters turned up, will cause you to hit your target before your haters arrive.
