SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 8: 26-39
FOCUS: “And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.” (Luke 8: 30)
MEMORY VERSE: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5: 8)
In our Focal Scripture, the demons that held the demon possessed man captive identified themselves as a legion. In the oriental milieu, a legion had a cohort whose responsibility was to gather military intelligence. So, a legion did not just fight blindly; they fought with established information about their targets. They came into their battles with information about their targets. They fought their battles by using information.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every demonic data that has been gathered against you, let fire answer. Every arrangement of hell that is using information about you to work against you, let fire answer. Every arrangement of hell that is monitoring you in order to orchestrate your downfall, let the fire of God answer. Every arrangement of hell that is using people around you to gather information to hurt you, let fire answer.
I interrupt every demonic data gathering against you. I interrupt every activity of hell that is seeking to use information about you to work against you. I interrupt every arrangement of hell that wants you to be a victim of information about you. I interrupt every activity of household enemies that are empowering your external enemies with information they can use against you. I nullify every demonic data in use against you.
Any man who is born of the spirit is like the wind, which blows to wherever it desires, and no man knows where it is coming from or going to. If truly you have been born of the Spirit of God, then shock the enemy by being unpredictable. Don’t let your life be reduced to unhealthy routines. Don’t let the enemy predict your reaction to issues. Don’t let the enemy predict your pattern of action or inaction. Let your life be as dynamic as possible.
Any man waiting to use information from you against you will wait forever. Every demonic information gathering against you is scattered. Every tale bearer seeking to share information that will hurt and haunt you, will not succeed.
