SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW 20: 1-16
FOCUS: “For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.” (Matthew 20: 1)
MEMORY VERSE: “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16: 13)
Our Focal Scripture introduces a parable of the kingdom wherein a householder went out early in the morning to hire labourers. The householder did not wait till the day was far gone. He came very early in the day. He came when some people would have still been at home. He came when some people may not even be prepared. Notice that this householder got labourers for his vineyard. So, there were ready labourers.
Friend, in all your doings, be ready. Be ready to take the opportunities that are coming your way. Be ready for the doors and gates that are about to open for you. Be ready for the people who will soon come for your services. Be ready for the people who need your capacity. Be ready for the heights that God wants to take you to. Be ready for the milestones that may come your way earlier than expected. Be ready and on time too.
The householder showed up early, and some men were already set to be hired, early in the day. Some men were intentional enough to be ready ahead of time. If you choose to get ready when your time to be hired is past, just maybe you would be ready but you would have missed your moment. If you make the mistake of not being ready early enough, you just might end up empty handed in the market place of destiny.
Start preparing for those opportunities you have been waiting for. Start preparing for the heights you wish to attain. Start preparing for the doors and gates you want God to open for you. Start preparing even if it seems that no one is getting ready for their next season. Start preparing for the levels you have been praying for. Start preparing early enough when others are being lazy about tomorrow. Get ready, and be ready on time.
If you join in the bandwagon of those who wait till their moment is past before preparing, how will you be hired early in the day? If you keep postponing your preparation, how will you take your chance?
